xHarbour Required tools for FreeBSD

Your FreeBSD installation should contain all necessary tools to build xHarbour. If they have been not installed yet in your system then please install shells/bash, devel/gmake, devel/bison and devel/ncurses ports.

If you have x11/libX11 then additional X11 screen drivers GTXVT and GTXWC will be created.

xHarbour can also use devel/libslang but remember that this library has more restricted license. If you want to build xHarbour compiler to create commercial closed source programs then before you run make_gnu.sh set environment variable HB_COMMERCE to "yes", f.e.:

export HB_COMMERCE=yes

We strongly suggest to run build process from non-root account.
